Vendor Accessible Customer Service Training Requirement
The Accessible Customer Service Regulation 429/07 under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 requires private sector businesses to be compliant by 2012, however if a vendor or service provider is delivering a service on behalf of a private sector organization, such as a municipality, they must be compliant by January 1, 2010.
The following items have been posted to provide vendors and service providers delivering services on behalf of the Corporation of the County of Essex access to accessible customer service training materials. Vendors and Service Providers are not obligated to use the resources posted below for delivering training to their staff, however, they are required to ensure their staff are trained on the Corporation of the County of Essex's Accessible Customer Service Policy, Practices and Procedures. Service providers and vendors must sign the Accessible Customer Service Training Certificate prior to commencing any work for the County.
